Lead Cast lands major upcoming role

Leo Earley, the young star of our short film Newtown Boys, has just landed a major role as Seamus Finnigan in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter TV series, marking a remarkable leap in his budding acting career. Hailing from Drumsna, County Leitrim, the seven-year-old first captured national attention on RTÉ’s Late Late Toy Show with a charming monologue about hats, and went on to win the under-12 storytelling contest at the All-Ireland Fleadh. His natural talent and charisma stood out during nationwide auditions in Dublin, earning him a spot in the high-profile adaptation overseen by J.K. Rowling herself. With filming set to begin at Warner Bros. Studios in the UK, Leo’s grounded personality, sharp instincts, and captivating screen presence make him a perfect fit not only for the magical world of Harry Potter, but also as the emotional core of Newtown Boys.
